EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: NGOs


Expression of interest invited from health related NGOs who are working in the following districts and who are interested in partnering with TNHSP in specific services to the tribal population in the following districts;

Districts: Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Coimbatore, Namakkal, Salem, Dindigul, Kanyakumari, Villupuram, Vellore, The Nilgiris, Trichy, Thiruvannamalai, Thiruvallur, Theni and Kancheepuram.

The EOI should specify on the Services being provided by NGOs together with length of duration of work in the field: Type of health services should clearly indicate a) Inpatient facility, b) Outpatient facility, c) Health promotion activity.

Report of activities being carried out for minimum two years should also be enclosed.

EOI’s sent in sealed envelope alone would be considered. Health related interventions planned for tribal areas will be considered only for NGOs who have responded to this advertisement.

Expressions of Interest

World Bank supported Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project (TNHSP) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for:

Package No. BCC 1: – Hiring the services of a consultant firm to develop a BCC strategy, IEC Materials & prototype, preparation of a dissemination strategy and implement it with the support of TNHSP in the following specific areas;

a. Increased access and utilization by tribal population of health services.

b. Increased utilization of Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (CEmONC) by SC/ST

The Consultant will be selected by “Quality and Cost based selection (QCBS)” method in accordance with the procedures set out in the “World Bank guidelines: Selection and Employment of consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004 Edition)”

Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (Brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, financial status of the firm, etc.).Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

The consultants may give Expression of Interest for the above package in a separate clearly marked cover.

Interested consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours between 10.00 hours and 17.00 hours on all working days. Expressions of interest must reach this office in the address given below in a sealed envelope superscribed with the name of the package on or before 2nd September 2007.

Appointment to the post of Bio Medical Engineer

Advertisement No.11/Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project/Estt./2007

Applications are invited from the interested eligible candidates for appointment to the post of Bio Medical Engineer in World Bank supported Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project, Chennai.

Basic Qualification

• Bachelor of Engineer (Electronics) / Electrical . Instrumentation / Mechanical./ BE Bio Medical Engineering.

Additional Qualification

• Diploma in Bio Medical Engineering / Candidates who have done B.E., or a degree course with Bio Medical Engineering as one of the subjects shall also be considered.

• Two years experience as Bio Medical Engineer in a Hospital or Firm or Candidates who have undergone special training in equipment maintenance from reputed institutions shall be preferred.

• Salary : Consolidated Payment of Rs.15,000/- p.m.

The above appointment is only on contract basis for an initial period of 2 years, which shall be extended upto 5 years or till the implementation of the Project. The candidate will be posted in Chennai / Madurai / Coimbatore / Trichy or anywhere as desired by Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project.
