On behalf of the Governor of Tamil Nadu, the Project Director, Tamil Nadu Health Systems Society, 7th Floor, DMS Complex, Teynampet, Chennai – 600 006 invites bids for Housekeeping and Sanitation services for Government Headquarters Hospital, Cuddalore, Pudukottai (2 locations) , Tiruppur (2 locations) and Government Hospital, Tambaram, Tamilnadu.

1.Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the office of the Project Director, Tamil Nadu Health Systems Society, 7th Floor, DMS Complex, Teynampet, Chennai - 600 006

2.A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested eligible bidder on submission of a written application to the Joint Director of Health Services, Cuddalore, Pudukottai, Tiruppur and Kanchipuram Tamilnadu, respectively upon payment of a non-refundable fee as indicated below in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Joint Director of Health Services, Cuddalore, Pudukottai, Tiruppur and Kanchipuram Tamilnadu, payable at Cuddalore, Pudukottai, Tiruppur and Kanchipuram respectively .

3.The bidding document may be obtained from the offices of Joint Director of Health Services, Cuddalore, Pudukottai, Tiruppur and Kanchipuram Tamilnadu, for the respective hospitals in the district during office hours namely, from 10.00 hours to 17.00 hours on all working days either in person or by post.

4.Prebid meeting will be held at 3.00 PM on 19.03.2009 at the Offices of the Joint Director of Health Services, Cuddalore, Pudukottai, Tiruppur and Kancheepuram respectively to clarify issues and to answer questions on any matter that may be raised by the bidders.

5.All bids must be accompanied by a bid security as specified in the bid document and must be delivered to the above offices at the date and time indicated above.

6.Bids will be opened in the presence of Bidders / Representatives, who choose to attend on the specified date and time.

7.A single stage, two-envelop (Technical Bid and Price Bid) bidding procedure will be followed.

8.The Joint Director of Health Services will not be responsible for postal or any other delay.

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST


World Bank supported Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project (TNHSP) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for Consultancy for Monitoring, Evaluation and Mentoring of NGO hired by Tamil Nadu Health Systems Society.

The Tamil Nadu Health Systems Society has engaged 213 NGO’s for 267 service contracts such as patient counseling centers, mortuary van services, tribal outreach services, tribal counselors, 1 NGO for engaging counselor cum assistants for Cardiovascular diseases pilot project in 4 blocks of 2 districts and 22 NGO's for engaging village link volunteers for Cancer Cervix pilot project in 22 blocks of 2 districts.
12 Consultants are required to Monitor, Evaluation and Mentor the above said NGO and 1 consultant to liaison these activities at the PMU level in Chennai for a total period of 14 months.
Applications are invited from eligible individuals from any place, preferably within the state of Tamil Nadu.
Each consultant is expected to cater up to 30 service contracts combined for few districts, as mentioned below.

Interested consultants should submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI) along with a detailed CV (covering name, address/contact details, date of birth, educational qualifications, training attended, employment records, details of experience relevant to the present assignment, languages known, current salary/remuneration, expected salary/remuneration and references), with the preferred package number/ districts mentioned.
One consultant can opt for up to 3 packages; however the order of preference for packages should be mentioned.

The decision of short listing/selection shall lie with the Project Director.

The Consultant will be selected by “Selection of Individual Consultants” method in accordance with the procedures set out in the “World Bank guidelines: Selection and Employment of consultants by World Bank Borrowers (Current Edition)”

The consultants may submit the Expression of Interest and CV in a sealed and clearly marked cover titled as “Expressions of Interest ( EOI ) - Consultancy for Monitoring, Evaluation and Handholding of NGO services” latest by 28 January, 2009 (5.00 PM) on the address given below. EOI not received in sealed envelope will not be considered.
